FAQ for art buyers
How do I purchase art? Art with 'buy now' buttons can be purchased securely online by credit or debit card via PayPal (paypal is a secure online payments system) you do not need to have a paypal account to pay, just click on the buy now buttons and follow the on screen instructions, or if preferred pay by an offline payment method such as a cheque, just send us an email with the title of the artwork, the artists name, and your address, you will be sent an order confirmation email, the art will be despatched on receipt of your cleared cheque payment
How do I commission art? If you would like to commission an artwork contact us or send a message to the artist who will be pleased to discuss your requirements, some artworks are labelled available by commission you could have a similar piece completed, or talk to the artist about creating art to your own specifications
Do you ship art internationally? Most artists will deliver your purchases to International destinations, see the artists gallery or contact us or the artist via their contact form if you have any queries about shipping destinations
Can I pay for the art by offline payment methods? Yes certainly, to pay by an offline payment method such as cheque, please send us an email
with the title of the artwork, the artists name, and your address, you will be sent an order confirmation email, the artwork will be despatched on receipt of your payment
How do I make an offer for an artwork? Click on send an offer on the artists contact page or contact us, please include which piece you are interested in & the amount of the offer, the message will be sent directly to the artist who will let you know if your offer for the artwork is accepted
Can I return the artwork if I decide it not quite what I was looking for? Yes certainly, please let us know as soon as you can, you have 14 days to return the art to the artist for an exchange or a refund, please return using an insured service (sorry refunds don't include P&P costs, unless the artwork has been damaged in transit if that is the case you will receive a refund in full including all P&P costs, see buyer terms)
What happens if the art arrives damaged? If you can see that the parcel is damaged sign as 'unchecked' if you can see that the art is damaged you should refuse the parcel and contact us
The art is packaged and sent by insured delivery for safe transit but if the unlikely happens and your purchase arrives damaged please contact us asap for a full refund or an exchange, retain the original packaging so that the artist can make a claim with the courier, see buyer terms

How do I join Riverart?
It's easy to join, artists click here to
register, upload up to 5 example images, a short paragraph about you
and your art, we will review your submission and contact you within 5
working days to confirm your membership
Do you charge a commission fee on art sales or commissioned art? Yes 25%
Can I sell my art through other galleries while listing it on Riverart? Yes you are free to market your art elsewhere
What do I need in order to join? All
you need are your contact details, up to 5 jpeg or gif images of good
quality, (please ensure each image is resized to no more than 800px wide
or 800px high, whichever is the greatest), and a short paragraph about
you and your art. Once you've joined you need to have a minimum of two
artworks in your gallery
Do you accept International artists? The
majority of artists on the site are from the UK but we do consider a small number of
applications from International artists who are resident in Europe

Do you accept all submissions? We accept most artworks we are also looking for artists whos work loosely fits in with our ethos of naturally inspired art
