Born
in Bedfordshire, I spent the early part of my career training and
working as a chef. Many years later and having worked in numerous
restaurants as Head chef I felt it was time for a new creative
challenge.
Travels
across Asia followed until I finally settled in Woburn Sands in
Bedfordshire where I was to concentrate on my new found passion of
landscape painting with the aim of becoming a contemporary artist.
I
work in oils, using palette knives and brushes to create a variety of
effects and textures that build depth and atmosphere into my work,
with light and its effects being the main focus of my landscapes.
Photographs and sketches are used as reference for my paintings, but
I rely more heavily on memories from my time spent in the great
outdoors.
Many
of my works and commissions hang in private collections across the
U.K.
I
continue to paint from my Bedfordshire studio.
